Anne Patricia Buckley McGovern

  Anne Patricia Buckley McGovern, 78 of Pottsville, died Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East Norwegian St.     She was born November 9, 1939 in Pottsville daughter of the late Edgar P. and Nan Higgins Buckley.   She was a graduate of Nativity BVM High School and attended Marywood University.   Prior to retiring she worked at Boscov’s in Pottsville.   Anne was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.   Surviving are husband Donald F. McGovern, Sr. with whom she celebrated 57 years of marriage with on September 10, 2017; a daughter, Maribeth McGovern and her husband Majid Al-Sharif, Huston TX; 3 sons, Donald F. McGovern, Jr., and his wife Susan Bennett, Auburn; David McGovern, Pottsville; Robert J. McGovern and his wife Suzanne, Pottsville: 4 grandchildren, Collin, Zachary, Elise, and Tariq; nieces and nephews.   A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11AM from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10AM until the time of mass. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.   Arrangements are under the care of James E.
