Joan E. Lowthert

  Joan E. Lowthert, 84 of Pottsville, died Tuesday night the home of her daughter Cindy.   She was born May 10, 1933 in Pottsville daughter of the late Henry and Gladys Harvey Lightcap.   She was a 1951 graduate of Pottsville High School.   Prior to retiring she was a bookkeeper for Towne Drugs, Pottsville.   Joan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.   She was preceded in death by 4 infant great-grandchildren. Surviving are her husband Jerome Clyde Lowthert; children, Cheryl Ruch and her husband Jack, Pottsville; Clyde Lowthert and his wife Dorrie, Auburn; Cathy Stank and her husband Terry, Lake Wynonah; Cindy McGeever and her husband Patrick, Pottsville; Craig Lowthert and his wife Patricia, Port Carbon; Carole Coyle and her husband Mike, Pottsville: 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys “Sis” Hess, Somerset: Nieces and Nephews.   A memorial service celebrating the life of Joan will be held Saturday at 11:30AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:30AM until time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contribution made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Garden on the grounds of the church.   Arrangements are under the care of James E.
