William J. “Bill” Kline, Sr., 72 of Pottsville, died Wednesday January 31st, at Broward Health North, Pompano Beach, FL. He was born November 17, 1945 in Pottsville son of the late John W. Sr., and Alice Whiteman Kline. He was a 1963 graduate of Pottsville High School and was employed by PP&L for 41 years prior to retiring in 2010. He was an Air Force Veteran having served during the Vietnam War where he was assigned to the Strategic Air Command 804th Communications Squadron. Bill was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #384, Ashland and was a life member of Citizen Hose Fire Co., Palo Alto. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Alice Haslam, Carol Miller, and Marion Doyle; 2 brothers, John W. Kline, Jr., and Robert Kline. Surviving are his wife of 53 years of marriage on August 15, 2017, Jeanie Mirabello Kline, Pottsville; 2 sons, William J. Kline, Jr., and his wife Colleen, Moscow, and Francis Kline, Pottsville: 3 grandchildren, William J. Kline, III; Kelsey Kline and Justin Kline; Nieces and nephews. Memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held Saturday February 24th at 2PM at Freedom in Christ Church, 1850 First Ave, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 12-2PM. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Freedom in Christ Church, 1850 First Ave, Pottsville PA, 17901 or Disabled American Veterans 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring KY, 41076. Interment with military honors will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
