Sarah A. “Sally” Conlen, 92 of St. Clair, died Thursday. She was born May 19, 1925 in St. Clair daughter of the late James Michael and Frances Hughes Conlen. She was a graduate of St. Clair High School. She was employed by the U.S. Post Office Department in Washington, D.C. And Philadelphia, Yuengling Brewery and Social Security Administration prior to retiring. Sally was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Altar Server, and a member of the former St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair. She was preceded in death by one brother, James Conlen; 4 sisters, Teresa Putsavage, Frances Engleman, Mary Manley and Joan Myers. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11AM from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, with Msgr. William F. Glosser as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9-11A.M. Wednesday at the church. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund, 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair PA, 17970. Interment will be in St. Patrick No. 3 Cemetery, Pottsville. Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
