Gretchen Whalen

  Gretchen Whalen, 56 of Lancaster, died Friday at home.   She was born January 16, 1961 in Allentown daughter of Gayle Heller Freed Hartstein and the late James K. Freed.  She was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and attended Susquehanna College and Temple University.   In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughter, Geremy Sandra Whalen, and a son Mitchell James Whalen: 1 grandson, Wesson Lockie; a sister Jennifer Caplan, and a aunt Karen Heller.   Services celebrating Gretchen's life will be held 2P.M. Thursday from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to call from 1P.M. until the time of services. Interment will be in the family lot at Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville.
