Grace C. Hilbert

  Grace C. Hilbert, 99 of Lancaster, formerly of Pottsville died Friday afternoon at Lancaster General Hospital.

  She was born July 3, 1918 in Pottsville daughter of the late Harry J. and Mary Evans Walters.

  She was a 1936 graduate of Pottsville High School.

  She was employed by the former Polly McCool Joyce Interior Design prior to retiring.

  Grace was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Pottsville where she was a teacher for the TriMus Sunday School Class and sang in the choir for 50 years.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, C. John Hilbert on June 4, 1989; 6 brothers, Harry, James, Kenneth, Lawrence, Ellsworth, and Roland Walters; a sister, Anna Bennie: Surviving are her daughter, Judith Yutz and her husband David, Lancaster: 2 grandchildren David and Scott Yutz; 2 great grandchildren; Amber and Tyler Yutz; a sister, Doris Gregor TN; Nieces and nephews.

  Services will be held Wednesday at 12P.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Pastor Gregory Hafer officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 11A.M. until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contribution made to Evangelical United Methodist Church 305 S. Centre St. Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
