Mary Lou McGinley

 Mary Lou McGinley, 80 of Pottsville, died Friday morning at home.

  She was born December 24, 1936 in Pottsville daughter of the late Edward F. and Mary M. Trabosh Gorman.

  She was a 1954 graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School.

  She was employed for a short time at Costas York Candy.

  Mary Lou was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and Holy Rosary Society of the church.

  She was also one the first coaches for CYO Girls Basketball and Softball for St. Patrick Church.

  She was preceded in death by her husband James L. McGinley, August 10, 1990: a son James D. McGinley, December 6, 2005: Surviving are 3 daughters, Barbara McGinley, Pottsville; Cheryl Burrell and her husband Greg, Colorado Springs, CO; Denise McGinley-Gerchak and her husband Joe, Pottsville: a son Patrick McGinley, Pottsville: 10 grandchildren, Ryan, Shane, Brent, Ian, Megan, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Tanner, Neena, Carissa:5 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews:

  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to call at the church from 9A.M. until the time of mass. There will be no viewing from the funeral home. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Rd. Harrisburg PA, 17110. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville is in charge of arrangements.
