J. David Kephart

November 14, 1944 — February 9, 2017

  J. David Kephart, Jr., 72, of McAdoo formerly of Pottsville, died Thursday at Andsher Personal Care Home, McAdoo.

  He was born November 14, 1944 in Pottsville son of the late Joseph D. Sr., and Catherine Brennan Kephart.

  He was a 1962 graduate of Nativity BVM High School.

  David was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.

  He was also an avid baseball and football fan throughout his life.

  He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Marie Burke. Surviving are his brother, Jack Kephart and his wife Cheryl, New Boston; Nieces and Nephews. Brother in law, Thomas Burke, Ringtown.  

Service of remembrance will be held Saturday at 11A.M. from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Deacon John E. Quirk officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 10A.M. until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions be made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund, 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville PA, 17901 or to Jack Kephart C/O 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville, PA 17901to defray some funeral expenses. Interment will be private at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
