Jack D. “Pinky” Sidler, 81 of Pottsville died Wednesday afternoon at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. He was born November 4, 1934 in Schuylkill Haven son of the Hilbert and Edith Sidler. He was a 1955 graduate of Pottsville High School. He was a veteran having served in the Army. Pinky was owner and operator of Sidler & Sidler Packing for 30 years. Pinky was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville; Pulaski Lodge 216 F&AM, Pottsville. Railway Park Little League, where he coached West End Hose Co. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Ann Kienzle Sidler, on March 22, 2014: 7 sisters, Audrey, Geraldine, Louise, Margaret, Nedra, Corlyes, Mary Jean: 2 brothers, Robert & James. Surviving are his son, Kevin K. Sidler, Pottsville; 2 grandchildren Taylor Sidler and Jessica Linnenbaugh: Nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11AM Monday at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to call from 10AM until the time of services.
