Robert W. Long

  Robert W. Long, 71 of Pottsville, died Wednesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian St.   He was born October 19, 1944 in Pottsville son of the late William and Elizabeth Casale Long.   He was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, Pottsville.   He was employed by the Pottsville Republican and Herald as a sportswriter and graphic artist prior to retiring.   Bob was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.  In his spare time Bob enjoyed playing golf at Hidden Valley Golf Course.   Surviving are his wife of 28 years Carol Gross Long, Pottsville; step-daughter, Kim Klimaytis and step-niece Mary Jane Gormley, both of Philadelphia. 3 grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, and Paige.   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to call from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, Sunday evening form 6-8P.M. and from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund, 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville PA, 17901.
