Dennis B. Hewes

  Dennis B. Hewes, 40 of Pottsville, died Saturday in Pottsville.

  He was born March 29, 1976 in Pottsville son of Dennis Hewes Pottsville, and Sandra Shemansik Burns and her husband Tom, Pottsville.

  He was a 1994 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and Northampton Community College.

  He was employed by Top Guns Orwigsburg. Dennis was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, North Ward Social Club, Schuylkill Haven and the Paparazzi Pool Team.

  Dennis had a love for cars, he enjoyed working on them and drag racing. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his brothers.

  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Sheamnsik, Sam and Erma Hewes, Thomas Sr, and Francis Burns. Surviving in addition to his parents are a son, Clayton Demcher, Pottsville: 2 brothers, Cory Burns, Pittsburgh; Brian Burns, Pottsville. Maternal grandmother, Anna Shemansik Wyatt: Aunt & Uncle, Linda and Kevin Polyak: Cousins Michael Marcolla, and Kevin Polyak: His two dogs, Tyler and Snickers.

  Services will be held Wednesday at 11A.M. from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Deacon John E. Quirk officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 9A.M. until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions be to made to Sandy Burns C/O James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, 1112 W. Market St. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
