Valentina A. "Val" Lizak

  Valentina A. "Val" Lizak, 89 of Pottsville, died Thursday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson St.   She was born June 6, 1926 in New York, NY daughter of the late Rev. Nicholas B. and Olga Sweda Lizak.   She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, and Immaculta University with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics.   She was employed by Basely Engineering, her brother, Dr. Gabriel Lizak and Pottsville Internist Association prior to retiring.   Val was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church Pottsville, and was a volunteer at the Pottsville Free Public Library.   She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dr. Gabriel M. Lizak and Leonard J. Lizak, Sr. Surviving are a nephew, Leonard J. Lizak, Sr., Mechanicsville: a niece, Dr. Paula F. Desi, and her husband Dr. Bharat M., Golden, CO: a great-niece, Bela Desi:   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to call from 6-8P.M. Thursday and 9-10A.M. Friday at the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
