Andrew Susylo

  Andrew Susylo, 90 of Providence Place, Pottsville, died Wednesday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson.

  He was born November 30, 1925 in Middleport son of the late Simon and Anna Hromyak Susylo.

  He was a graduate of Blythe Twp High School and was employed by the former Alcoa, Cressona, prior to retiring. He was Army veteran having served during World War II with the 157th Infantry Regiment in the European Theater.

  Andrew was a member of the Church of Nativity BVM Ukrainian Catholic Church, Middleport, Middleport American Legion Post # 0144 and a life member of Moss Glen Rod and Gun Club, Brockton.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Vitelli Susylo; and a step grandson, Seth Reinhart. Surviving are 3 daughters, Roseann Williams and her husband Eugene, Tavares, Fl; Andrea Reinhart and her husband, Russell, Leesburg, FL; Connie Bernetskie and her husband Edward, Brockton: 7 grandchildren, Michael Reidel, Christopher Milner, Melissa Reichert, Shannon Frantz, Michelle Bernetskie, Ashley Werner, and Jason Bernetskie: 6 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mary Chabon, FL; Sophia Kissell, Staten Island, NY: Nieces and nephews.

  Office of Divine Liturgy will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville, with the Rev. Mark Fesniak officiating. Family and friends are to invited call Sunday evening at the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and from 9:00A.M.-10:00A.M. Monday. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to St. Nicholas Memorial Fund 415 N. Front St. Minersville PA, 17954. Interment with military honors will be at St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Brockton.
