Gerald F. Dalton, 74 of Pottsville, died Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson St.
He was born January 5, 1941 in Danville son of the late Thomas and Hazel Blee Dalton.
He was a graduate of Danville High School and Bloomsburg University.
He was employed by Minersville Area School District prior to retiring.
Gerry was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville where he was a Eucharistic Minister and the two hearts rosary group.
Surviving are his wife Corinne Mott Dalton; children, Jeanette, Michael and his wife Lori Ann, East Stroudsburg; Kenneth and his wife Rachael, Mohrsville; Laurette Vanovsdale and her husband Jason, Fargo ND: a brother, Robert, Wellsboro; 4 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of mass. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville PA, 17901, or Pottsville Free Public Library, 217 W. Market St. Pottsville PA, 17901, Ruth Steinert SPCA, PO Box 332 Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972, or Servants To All, 4 S. Centre St. Pottsville PA, 17901 or American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
