Hazel M. Carl

Hazel M. Carl, 100 of Pottsville, went to be with the lord Friday morning at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. She was born Nov 12, 1914 in Pottsville daughter of the late Herman and Lucy Heim Hicks. She attended Pottsville High School. Hazel was the second oldest active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, where she was a member of Craft Class, Circle 5 and the Over 50 group. She was preceded in death by her husband Elvin G. Carl, in 1997. Surviving are her daughter, Hazel Fay and "Mr." Bill, Nashville, TN: 2 grandchildren, Edward, and his wife Sherry, Huntsville, AL; Vanessa and her husband John, Knoxville, TN: 4 great-grandchildren, Edward, Alexandria, Cora, Sara: 2 great-great-grandchildren, Sarah Beth, and Isabella; Numerous nieces and nephews. A service of witness to the resurrection for Hazel will be held Friday at Noon from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. and Vicar Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville, PA 17901. James E.
