Robert G. "Sclave" Davis

Robert G. "Sclave" Davis , 57 of Pottsville, died Monday night at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Allentown. He was born January 31, 1958 in Danville , and was son of Robert and Velma Sabol Davis, Pottsville. He was a 1977 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and worked as a clerk and delivery man for the former Davis Sporting Goods. Sclave, as he was known by friends and family, was member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville where he participated weekly in adoration. He was also member of the Pottsville Lions Club, Schuylkill Geo Caching Club, the Great Pottsville Winter Carnival, the Great Pottsville Cruise, Knight of Columbus Council # 431 where he received his 4th degree and was also a volunteer for the Thanksgiving dinners, and the Gift of Life Program. Sclave enjoyed the great outdoors and collecting crazy hats. He was also known as a great practical joker and was a train buff. In addition to his parents he is survived by 2 sisters, Janine Watkins and her husband Kent, Orwigsburg; and Liane Anderson and her husband John, Philadelphia; his companion Karen Damon, Pottsville: Nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville . Family and friends are invited to call Saturday from 9:30 A.M.-10:45 A.M. at the church. A short Lions Club Necrology service will be at 10:00 A.M. followed by Knights of Columbus service.
