Gloria S. Bettinger

Gloria S. Bettinger, 90 of Pottsville, died Wednesday at Pinnacle Health-Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg. She was born July 23, 1924 in Pottsville daughter of the late George and Thelma Vaughn Soellner. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was assistant director of election at the Schuylkill County Court House, prior to retiring. Gloria was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and Circle 3 of the church, and was also a member of SCOOP. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Bettinger in 1962; 2 sister Ione and Ilone Soellner; and a brother, Wayne Soellner. Surviving are 2 sons, Kim Bettinger and his wife Debbie, Schuylkill Haven; Randy "Bear" Bettinger: 2 brothers, George "Skinny" Soellner, Pottsville and Marvin Soellner, Modesto, CA: 5 grandchildren, Jen, Brooke, Brad, Kaylei, and Tawny; 7 great-grandson; nieces and nephews. Services will be held 12:00P.M. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville with the Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. and Vicar Chris Rothharpt, officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 10:00A.M. the time of services at the church. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
