Barbara A. Straka

Barbara A. Straka, 58, Pine Grove, died Monday night at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian St., Pottsville. She was born November 15, 1956 in Pottsville daughter of the late Joseph J., Sr. and Josephine Galle Devine. She was a 1974 graduate of Nativity B.V. M. High School and was employed by Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian St., Pottsville. Barb was a former member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. Surviving are her husband of 29 years Andrew: a son Bryan J. Straka and a daughter, Brooke J. Straka: 3 brothers, Joseph J. Devine, Jr., Pottsville, Michael J. Devine and his wife, Pat, Mechanicsville, and Patrick J. Devine and his wife, Kelly A., Pottsville. Nieces nephews, aunts, and uncles. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to call at the church Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. and from 9:00 A.M.-9:45 A.M. Friday morning. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
