Lorraine C. Spotts

Lorraine C. Spotts, 83 of Pottsville, died Sunday morning at the Inpatient Hospice of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was born April 18, 1931 in Pottsville daughter of the late George S. and Helen Moyer Heffner. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and Penn State University with a B.S. in Economics. Lorraine taught in both Pottsville and Springford School Districts and was a substitute teacher at Honey Brook Elementary School prior to retiring. Lorraine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and Circle 5 of the church, Penn State Alumini Association, Mah Jong Group of Orwigsburg, and Past-President of the Honey Brook Women's Club and Current Events Club. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mildred H. Fox, and Grace H. Weber: a brother Charles K. "Chow" Heffner: Surviving are her husband with whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage on Aug 20th. Gerald Spotts, Pottsville; 3 sons, David Spotts and his wife Bonnie, Lemont; Jeffery Spotts, Madison GA; and Darrin Spotts, Downingtown: a brother, Judge George W. Heffner, and his wife Barbara, Pottsville and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Heffner, Pottsville 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, Kevin, Kaitlyn, and Ashley Spotts: 1 great-grandchild Toby Spotts: Nieces and Nephews. Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday at 2:00 P.M. from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with Vicar Chris Rothharpt officiating family and friends are invited to call from 12:30 P.M. until the time of services at the church. Interment will be private. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W.
