Lorraine A. Kolessar

Lorraine A. Kolessar, 90 of New Philadelphia, died Sunday morning at home. She was born April 2, 1924 in German, Fayette County daughter of the late James and Anna Canfield King. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was employed by the former W.T. Grant, Pottsville prior to retiring. Lorraine was a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis J. Kolessar; and 2 brothers, James and Bernard King. Surviving are 3 sisters, Margaret Steele, Kennet Square; Joan Selinko, and Nancy King both of Pottsville: caregivers Fran and Ali: Nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia, with the Rev. Ronald J. Minner as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of mass. The family would prefer remembrance in form of contributions made to Holy Cross Memorial Fund, 99 Valley St. New Philadelphia PA, 17959. Interment will be private at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville is in charge of arrangements.
