John W. "Jack" Yaag

?John W. "Jack" Yaag, 78 of Mt. Airy, MD, formerly of Auburn died Monday at Gilchrist Hospice, Columbia MD. He was born September 19, 1935 in Palo Alto, son of the late John W. and Mabel Bobbs Yaag. He graduated from Pottsville High School and then attended Penn State University earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He married Dorothy Ann Carl and served in the U.S. army. During his professional career, he worked in the field of engineering with Square D. He was then employed with the District of Columbia as a Senior Manager and earned a masters degree in Management Science at the National Graduate University, where he later taught management courses. Jack was a member of the Lighthouse Church, Orwigsburg; Good Will Fire Co. Pottsville; Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity; and was a mason. Surviving are his wife, "Dottie", with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage on April 26; 2 daughters: Denise Yaag and her husband Glenn Jackson of Ashton, MD and Lori Record and her husband Roger of Mt. Airy, MD; 2 grandchildren: Jordan and Luke Record; a sister, Carolyn A. Watters, and her husband Carl, Exton; and a brother, William C. Yaag, and his wife Patricia, "Sister", Pottsville; Nieces and Nephews. Services will be held Saturday, July 5, at 11:30 A.M. at the Lighthouse Church in Orwigsburg, with the Pastor Mark Hochgertel officiating. Family and friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the church. Any contributions in remembrance of "Jack" may be made to the Lighthouse Church, 10 Hollenbush Lane. Orwigsburg, PA 17961. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
