Mabel A. Yaag

Mabel A. Yaag, 102, of Pottsville died Sunday morning at home. She was born November 30, 1911 in Pottsville daughter of the late William and Mabel Webber Bobbs. She attended Pottsville Schools. Mabel was the oldest active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, where she was involved in Circle 5 and Senior Singers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John C. Yaag in 2001; and a step-father, Valentine Boom. Surviving are 3 children, John W. Yaag and his wife Dorothy A., MD; Carolyn A. Watters and her husband Carl, Exton; William C. Yaag and his wife Patricia "Sister", Pottsville: 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at Noon from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 11:00 A. M. until the time of services. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville, PA 17901. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
