Doris G. Polcrack, 95, of Providence Place, Pottsville, where she had resided since 2011, died Wednesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson St. She was born September 10, 1918 in Pottsville daughter of the late Levi and Dorothy "Dolly" Webber Griffiths. She was a 1935 graduate of Pottsville High School. Doris was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Adam Polcrack, in 1981 who was the longtime pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Port Carbon; and a brother, who was a local athlete and World War II hero Walter L. Griffiths, USMC. Surviving are her daughter Doranne Polcrack, Pottsville; a son, Erik Polcrack, Shunk; two daughter-in-laws, Kathryn Coller Polcrack of Myerstown, and Jane Stolarski Polcrack, Shunk; 8 grandchildren. Services and interment will be private at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to Hillside SPCA P.O.
