Edward H. Heitmiller, Sr.

Edward H. Heitmiller, Sr., 79 of Pottsville died Thursday Jan 9, 2014 at home. He was born June 19, 1934 in Philadelphia son of the late Edward F., and Letitia Wolf Heitmiller. He was a graduate of Pierre S. DuPont High School, Wilmington Del, and Temple University School of Law with a juris doctorate. He was an Attorney and partner at Edward H. Heitmiller and Associates, Pottsville. Ed was a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the National Association of Arbitrators. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Sue Ann Nemec on June 24, 2002. Surviving are 3 children, Elizabeth F. Doherty, Mechanicsburg, Edward H. Jr., and his wife Carolynn, Pottsville, and Virginia A. Heitmiller, Myersdale. 4 grandchildren. A service of remembrance for family and friends will be held Friday January 31 from 3:00P.M.-6:00P.M. at the 1st Floor Lounge of the Necho Allen Apartments. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to Pottsville Free Public Library 217 W. Market St. Pottsville PA, 17901. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
