Rosemarie T. O'Connor Schuettler

Rosemarie T. O'Connor Schuettler, 85, of Pottsville died peacefully Monday afternoon surrounded by her family. She was born November 6, 1928 in Pottsville daughter of the late John F. and Helen F. Dalton O'Connor. She was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School and was employed as a supervisor for Bell Telephone and Sears Catalog 200 T Department prior to retiring. Rosemarie was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, Pottsville Lionettes, Bell Telephone Pioneers, Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader, and was a volunteer for the Pottsville Area EMS Board. She was also Judge of Elections in the 3rd Ward, 3rd Precinct for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband G. Richard "Dick" Schuettler on September 3, 2013. Surviving are 3 children, Patti Schuettler, Reading; Rick Schuettler and his wife, Michelle, Pottsville; Kathi Charles, Bernville: a brother, John O'Connor, Frackville: 2 sisters, Helen Paulosky, Minersville; and Peggy Conroy, Pottsville: 4 grandchildren, Rachael Schuettler and her fiancée Shane Hobbs; Brendan Schuettler; LeeAnn and Bonnie Charles: nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville with Rev. James Torpey and Rev. Bob Reiley as celebrants. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at the church. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund,319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901, or Pottsville Area EMS, 320 N. 9th St., Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville is in charge of arrangements.
