Dorothy M. "Dot" Bound

Dorothy M. "Dot" Bound, 89, of Pottsville died Monday morning at home. She was born September 13, 1924 in Pottsville daughter of the late Carl and Marie Koehler Henry. She was a 1943 graduate of Pottsville High School and worked as a lunch aide at D.H.H. Lengel Middle School, Pottsville, prior to retiring. Dorothy was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, it's kitchen committee, the Catholic Woman's Union and was a former Girl Scout Leader. Surviving are her husband, Donald "Doc" Bound to whom she was married 67 years; a son, Jack Bound and his wife, Mary, Pottsville: a daughter, Donna Bound Steidle, Pottsville: 5 grandchildren, Shannon Bound and her husband, Tim May, Ill; Farrah Benart, Pottsville; Megan Roberts and her husband Christian, Pottsville; Tim and Joe Steidle, Pottsville: 4 great-grandchildren, Liam Benart, Dominic, Jordan, and Devin Steidle; nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Interment will be private. The family would prefer remembrance in form of contributions made to St. John Memorial Fund, 913 Mahantongo St. Pottsville, PA 17901. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
