Martin R. Davis

Martin R. "Marty" Davis, 51, of Pottsville died Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian St. He was born November 15, 1961 in Pottsville son of Donald E. and Elizabeth Nolan Davis. He was a 1981 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and a 1986 graduate of Penn State University. He was owner of Donald E. Davis Real Estate and Insurance, Pottsville. Marty was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, the Pottsville Shade Tree Commission and Pulaski Lodge #216 F&AM. In addition to his parents he is survived by a son, J.D. Davis, Mt. Dora, FL: a daughter, Rachel A. Davis, NE: 2 brothers, Paul Davis and his wife Katherine, Allentown; Thomas Davis and his wife Joanne Hoffa, Yardley: a sister Dona Davis-Horst and her husband Tom, Annapolis, MD: his former wife Adrianne Wright, Mt. Dora, FL. nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. Brian M. Miller as celebrant. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to American Cancer Society 16 N. 4th St. Minersville PA, 17954 or Simon Kramer Cancer Institute 15 Alliance St. New Philadelphia PA, 17959. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
