Jonathan T. Porter, 28, of Pottsville, died Thursday at home. He was born October 28, 1984 in Pottsville son of Thomas Porter and Marcella Evans Corcoran. John was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School and Army veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served 2 tours as a combat medic with the 101st Airborne, attaining the rank of sergeant. He was of the methodist faith. In addition to his parents he survived by a daughter, Kirsty Anna; 2 sisters, his twin sister, Nicole Porter and Rebecca Porter: maternal grandmother, Louella Evans; a nephew and niece, whom he adored, Austin and Alea: many aunts, uncles, and cousins: Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 A.M. from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with the Rev. Bradley A. Schutt officiating. Family and friends may call from 8:30 A.M. until the time of services.
