Raymond A. Westcoat

Raymond A. Westcoat, 71, of Pottsville, died Saturday at the home of his daughter in Auburn . He was born October 2, 1941 in McKeesport , son of the late Curtis and Martha Hughes Westcoat and was a graduate of McKeesport High School . Ray was the owner of the Coney Island Downtown Pottsville, where he started working in 1968 and became owner in 1981. He was a member of the Lighthouse Church, Orwigsburg. He was preceded in death by his first wife Angela. Surviving are his wife of 15 years the former Mary Ryan, Pottsville; 5 children, Dorrie Lowthert and her husband Clyde, Auburn; Cathy Boscarino and her husband Tom, OH; Arthur and his wife Kerry, Hegins; Holly Gotshall and her husband Tim, Pottsville and Joshua, Pottsville; 3 sisters Donna Anke and her husband Charles, Mechanicsburg; Laurel, Clearwater, FL; Doreen Cronrath and her husband, David Silver Spring, MD: 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Ray's life will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Christmas Pine Camp Ground, with the Pastor Mark Hochgertel officiating. The family request that everyone dress casual for the service. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to Covent Home Care,1223 Pottsville Pike, Shoemakersville, PA 19555 .
