Joseph G. Klein

Joseph G. "Chuck" Klein, 86, of Pottsville, died Sunday at Manor Care Health Services, Pottsville. He was born July 17, 1926 in Port Carbon son of the late George and Marie Walsh Klein. Chuck served his country in the Army and was employed by the former United Metal Receptacle Co., Pottsville, prior to retiring. Chuck was a member of Walter Griffiths AMVET Post # 180, West End Hose Co., both of Pottsville and the former American Legion, Pottsville. He was preceded in death by a brother, George. Surviving are his long time companion Marion E. Blankenhorn, Pottsville; 3 sisters, Marie Fox, Hometown; Ann Stutz and Francis Fatkin, both of Winter Haven, FL: Nieces and nephews. Graveside services with military honors will be held Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven with the Rev. Peggy Sue Pfeffer officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:00 A.M.-10:00 A.M. Friday at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville, PA 17901.
