Leonard J. Lizak, Sr., 84, of Pottsville died Wednesday at home. He was born October 17, 1928 in Akron, OH son of the late Rev. Nicholas B. and Olga Sweda Lizak. He was a graduate of St. Clair High School and Villanova University with a degree in Accounting. He was an I.R.S agent for 30 years prior to retiring and served with the Army during the Korean War. Leonard was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, the Sera Club of the church, and Knight of Columbus Council #431 all of Pottsville. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Olga Bomba, Feb. 10, 2008; a brother, Dr. Gabriel M. Lizak: surviving are his 2 children, Leonard J. Lizak, Jr. Mechanicsville; Dr. Paula F. Desai and her husband, Dr. Bharat M., Golden, Colorado: a sister Val Lizak, Pottsville: a granddaughter, Bela F. Desai; a sister-in-law, Ann Osterberg, Belmont, MA: Nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M-8:00 P.M. at the church and from 9:30 A.M.-10:30 A.M. Wednesday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund, 319 Mahantango St. Pottsville, PA 17901. James E.
