Gail L. Close

Gail L. Close, 36, of Pottsville, died Thursday morning at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven. She was born April 26, 1975 in Pottsville daughter of Noel Glunz, Pottsville and the late Cheryl Youse Glunz. She was a graduate of Northampton High School and attended Northampton Area Community College and was a graduate of Empire Beauty School, Pottsville. She was employed by Dunkin Donuts, Walmart, and Burger King. Gail was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. She was preceded death by an infant son, Ryan Close, July 18, 2003. Surviving are 2 brothers, Scott Glunz, Somerset; Mark Glunz, Pottsville; a sister, Melissa LeBlanc, Pottsville; 3 nieces and 1 nephew; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 7:00 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. David J. Loeper as celebrant. Family and friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until the time of mass. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to Huntington Disease Society of America Eastern, Pennsylvania Chapter, 502 W. Germantown Pike, Suite 405, Plymouth Meeting PA, 19462. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
