Mary P. Kutch, 102, of Pottsville, died Friday night at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
She was born May 4, 1910 in Avelino, Italy daughter of the late Saverio and Carmela Valentino Genevese.
She attended Minersville Schools, and worked for Phillip and Jones , St. Clair Garment and the Pottsville Republican prior to retiring.
Mary was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and a former member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, where she was an active member of the spaghetti crew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1978: 7 brothers, Joseph, Louis, Jerry, Dominic, Jimmy, Sammy, and Victor; and a sister, Millie.
Surviving are a son, John Kutch and his wife Patricia, Pottsville; 3 grandchildren, Christine Deegan, Pottsville; Maria Kriner and her husband Dr. Ronald, Bethlehem; Michael and his wife Cathy, Bear Creek Twp; 4 great-grandchildren, Evan Kriner, Katie Deegan, Noel Kriner, and Ava Kriner; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. David J. Loeper as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30A.M. at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to St. John Memorial fund 913 Mahantongo St. Pottsville, PA 17901.
