Sara L. Rile

Sara L. Rile, 80, of Pottsville, died Monday at home. She was born February 5, 1932 in Pottsville daughter of the late Harry J. and Marion Koch Rehman. She was 1950 graduate of Pottsville High School and a graduate of Katherine Gibb School, Boston, MA and was recently employed by Luther Ridge Retirement Home. Sara was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and a variety of organizations and groups in both Schuylkill and Berks Counties. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas H. Rile on June 20, 2006. Surviving are two children: Judith A. Rile, Cumru Township, and Peter R. Rile and his wife Donna, Whitehall. two grandchildren: Kristin and Michael Rile, both of Whitehall. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. and Rev. Peggy Sue Pfeffer officiating. Family and friends are invited to meet with the family in the church's social hall immediately following the service. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville, PA 17901 or Pottsville Free Public Library, 217 W. Market St. Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be private at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville is in charge of arrangements.
