Evelyn M. Fey

Evelyn M. Fey, 93, of Pottsville died Wednesday at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. She was born February 13, 1919 in Pottsville daughter of the late Irvin and Leah Falls Fey. She was a 1937 graduate of Pottsville High School and was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Santee and Fort Indiantown Gap and later worked for Dr. Heller as an optical secretary. Evelyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, Circle 5 and Senior Singers of the church, Woodcarvers Association, Pottsville Historical Society, and Rest Haven Auxiliary where she served as Treasurer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in by a her step-mother Margaret C. Fey, who raised her: 2 sisters, Dolores Fey and Virginia Jackle and a brother Robert Fey. Surviving are her sister, Carol Ann Fey, Palmyra: 2 Nephews, Michael G. Jackle, and William H. Fey: 3 nieces, Jackie. J. Potts, and her husband, Richard; Ann J. Orlomoski, and her husband John; Jennifer F. Ponshe: 1 great-niece, Brandi F. Jones. Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the church. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville, PA 17901. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
