Arthur F. "Buddy" McNeely, 84, of Rest Haven Nursing Home, formerly of Port Carbon, died Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian St. He was born June 10, 1927 in Pottsville son of the late Arthur F. Sr., and Alvina Pacine McNeely. He was a graduate of Blythe Twp High School and served in the Army during World War II. He was employed by the former United Metal, Pottsville, prior to retiring. Buddy was a member of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, Port Carbon and also enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William and Richard McNeely, and a sister, Dorothy Bradley. Surviving are a sister Sandra Mirabella and her husband Joseph, Pottsville: a nephew, Gary Bradley, Pottsville: a niece, Darlene Miller, St. Clair: a cousin, Gordon Biel, Pottsville: nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with the Rev. David W. Karns, officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Stephen Cemetery, Port Carbon.
