Paul J. Connors, 86, of Pottsville died Wednesday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson St. He was born January 21, 1925 son of the late Martin C. Connors and Christine Murphy Connors Reichneder. He was a 1942 Graduate of Pottsville High School and attended Valley Forge Military Academy. He served as a Navy Corpsman during World War II. Beginning in the 1950's Paul and his stepfather operated several coal business, which he continued to operate throughout the 1960's. In 1973, he established his current business, WH Sales Engineering Co., and served as its president until hie death. Paul was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and the Pottsville Club. He was preceded in death by his step-father, George Reichneder and a sister, Kathryn Connors Lawson. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former Nancy Dougherty: a son, Ned Connors and his wife, Lori, Pottsville: 2 daughters, Anne M. Connors, Pottsville and Christine C. Kurtz Englewood, New Jersey. Four grandchildren: Thomas and Margaret Kurtz and Olivia and Peyton Connors: Nieces and nephews. Services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and from 8:30 A.M.-9:30 A.M. Tuesday. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
