Ellie D. Palsgrove

Ellie D. Palsgrove, 64, of Pottsville died Thursday at home. She was born April 20, 1946 in Pottsville daughter of the late Walter A., Sr. and Anna Elizabeth Schmidt Reed. She was a 1964 graduate of Pottsville High School and was employed by Roman Delight, Pottsville. Ellie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, where she was an active member of the Senior Choir and the Kitchen Committee. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Marie Updegrove. Surviving are her husband of 41 years Carl Palsgrove, Pottsville; a son Shawn Palsgrove, Wilkes-Barre; a daughter, Shelly Palsgrove, Pottsville: 2 brothers, Walter A. Reed, Jr., and his wife Mary Jane, Pottsville, and Valgene Reed and his wife Karen, Baltimore, Md. 4 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of Ellie will be held Saturday at noon from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. and Rev. Darcy M. Reis officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to the House of Care, 100 N. Academy Ave. Danville, PA 17822-2800. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
