(Ret.) CSM Robert C. Heller, 65, New Bern, NC, died Friday August 27, 2010 at UNC Cancer Center, Chapel Hill, NC. He was born April 20, 1945 in St. Clair son of Vivian Walk Heller, Emmaus and the late Robert Heller. He was a 1963 graduate of St. Clair High School and served with the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Kraft Foods, Inc., Allentown. Bob was a CSM in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, which included deployment to Operation Desert Shield/Storm in Saudi Arabia. Bob also worked for Family Assistance Center, Philadelphia, before retiring to North Carolina. Bob was a member of the Lower Macungie Fire Department, Wescosville from 2001 until 2008 as a fire safety officer and had helped with the children's fire prevention activities. He was also a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla as a FSO-CS, New Bern, NC, and volunteered at the Wild Animal Rescue Center, New Bern, NC. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Gail Honicker: 2 sons, Christopher, Enfield CT and Mark, Wescosville: 1 granddaughter Abigail, Enfield, CT: numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A military memorial service will Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
