Eleanor E. Spatz

Eleanor E. Spatz, 97, formerly of the Patterson Building, Pottsville died Monday at Schuylkill Center. She was born April 9, 1913 in Pottsville daughter of the late Robert and Esther Reinhart Sterner. She was raised and educated in Virginia prior to returning to Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Spatz in 1982: a son, Robert Sterner on May 24, 2002: 2 sisters, Ginny Lane and Ruth Sterner: a brother, John Sterner. Surviving are a granddaughter, Deborah A. Cody and her husband, George, Pottsville: a great granddaughter, Samantha M. Cody, Pottsville. Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville with Rev. Darcy M. Reis officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. till the time of service. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Hillside S.P.C.A., Inc., P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
