Elizabeth Sippel

Elizabeth "Betty" Sippel, 84, of Pottsville died Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian St., Pottsville. She was born April 14, 1925 in Pottsville daughter of the late Edwin and Elizabeth Heck Kindred. She was a 1943 graduate of Pottsville High School and a graduate of the former Ford School of Business. She worked for various accounting firms in the area and was most recently employed as the Manager for the Schuylkill County School Employees Credit Union, prior to retiring. She was a member of Yorkville Hose Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. "Gus" Sippel Sr. February 12, 2001 and a sister, Jean Phillips. Surviving are 2 sons, Charles F. Sippel Jr., and his wife Sandy, Pottsville and Thomas J. Sippel and his wife Danita, Pottsville: a brother Ed Kindred and his wife Dolores, Pottsville: 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren: Nieces and Nephews. Services will be held Thursday at the convenience of the family from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with the Rev. Darcy M. Reis officiating. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions be made to the Pottsville Free Public Library 217 W. Market St. Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
