Mae E. Billman

Mae E. Billman, 96, of Schuylkill Center, Pottsville died Monday, March 1 at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson St., Pottsville. She was born March 26, 1913 in Llewellyn daughter of the late Richard and Mary Otto. She attended Pottsville Schools and was employed by the former Pomeroys and Bell Credit Union. Her most recent place of employment was at Schoeneman Beauty Supply, prior to retirement. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Billman: 2 brothers, Richard and Herbert Otto: and a sister, Ruth Turner. Surviving is a son, Herb Merkert and his wife, Doris, Bath: 6 grandchildren: 17 great grandchildren: 1 niece and 1 nephew. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to the First United Methodist Church, 4th and West Market Sts., Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
