Katherine M. Piccioni

Katherine M. "Kitty" Piccioni, 74, of Pottsville died Monday at home. She was born May 18, 1935 in Primrose daughter of the late Peter and Katherine Veronic Uller. She was a 1953 graduate of Cass Twp. High and attended Kutztown University. She was a buyer for the former Pomeroys of Pottsville and also cooked at St. Patrick School and St. Patrick Convent. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Church, Pottsville, a member St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, and the Senior Citizens of the church. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the former Amor Fraterno of Pottsville. Surviving are her husband, Albert J. to whom she was married for 53 years: 3 daughters, Ann Melocheck and her husband, Sam, Pottsville: Kathy Piccioni, Harrisburg: Susan Griffin and her husband, Jack, Pottsville: 3 sons, David, Cumbola: Michael, Elizabethtown: and Anthony, Middleport: 2 sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Watcher," South Carolina and Mary Dinich, New Jersey: 10 grandsons: 1 granddaughter: 2 great grandsons: nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday at 9:30 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Friday morning from 8:00 A.M. till 9:15 A.M. The family would prefer no flowers. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Pottsville.
