Kenneth L. Frie, Sr.

Kenneth L. Frie, Sr., 84, of Pottsville died Monday at ManorCare Health Services, Pottsville. He was born January 30, 1925 in Pottsville son of the late Frank and Erma Mosser Frie. He graduated from Pottsville High School in 1943 and was employed by ALCOA for 25 years prior to retiring in 1978. He served with the Navy during WW II. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and Walter Griffiths Amvets Post 180, Pottsville. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Hummel and Erma Imschweiler: a brother, Frank. Surviving are his wife, the former Edna E. Kilmurray to whom he was married for 60 years: a son, Kenneth L. Frie, Jr., Pottsville: nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville with Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. officiating. Family and friends may call on Friday morning from 9:00 A.M. till the time of Service. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St., Pottsville, PA 17901 or Hillside S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
