Dolores I. "Tootsie" Greenberg, 68, of Pottsville died Friday at home. She was born November 13, 1940 in Schoentown daughter of the late Clarence and Anna Sabaday Shappell. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was employed by Acme Markets for 40 years prior to retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Greenberg on November 7, 2008: a sister, Rose Prokop: 4 brothers, John, Ronald, Edward and Robert Shappell. Surviving are a daughter, Denise Hauptly and her husband, Bill: 2 sons, Jeffrey Greenberg and his wife, Debra and James Greenberg, Jr., all of Pottsville: 2 sisters, Barbara Haslam, Wadesville and Anna Mae Charlock, Frackville: 3 brothers, Clarence Shappell, Jr., Seltzer, Gerald Shappell, Pottsville and Hermie Shappell, Florida: 6 grandchildren, Erica, B. J., Tyler, Jordan, and Camryn Hauptly and Jennifer Greenberg:1 great grandchild, Jayce Adamick: nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Rev. Darcy M. Reis officiating. Family and friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. till the time of Service. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Goodwill Industries, 91 Progress Ave., Pottsville, PA 17901.
