Herbert H. Fogel

Herbert H. Fogel, 84, of the Schuylkill Haven Area died Thursday at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven. He was born June 1, 1925 in Bethlehem son of the late Abraham and Cula Maybus Fogel. He attended Pottsville Schools and was employed by ALCOA in Cressona for 24 years prior to retiring in 1977. He served with the Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Fogel. Surviving are his wife, the former Sara Jane Bickelman: 4 daughters, Deljean Saylor and her husband Stanford, Hamburg: Betty Jane Fisher and her husband William, Pottsville: Karen Sterner and her husband Carl, Pottsville: and Debra Greer, Brandon, Florida: 5 sons, Charles Ribkee and his wife Gabriel, Germany: Daniel Reber and his wife Wanda, Arizona: Kenneth L. Reber and his wife Frances, Friedensburg: Gary Fogel, Long Beach, California: and Michael Reber and his wife Ethel, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: 22 Grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with the Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr., officiating. Family and friends may call from 10:00 A.M. till time of services. Interment with military honors will be at Summer Hill Cemetery, Summit Station.
