Emma Sarah Greff

Emma Sarah Greff, 96, of Pottsville a gracious, loving, caring, gentle lady died Tuesday at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Scuylkill Haven. She was born May 8, 1913 in Youngstown, Ohio daughter of the late Michael and Kathryn Zikeli Bretz. She attended Rayen High School in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, chapter 212, of Ellwood City, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Andrew Greff on October 12, 1998, 2 sisters, Matilda and Helen Bretz, 3 brothers, Ralph, William and Edward Bretz. Surviving are 2 daughters, Andrea G. Zimmerman and her husband David, Greensboro, North Carolina and Norma G. Corse and her husband Chester C. of Pottsville, a sister, Eleanor McClelland, Youngstown, Ohio, 2 granddaughters, Daun Corse Phillips, Orwigsburg and Kerry Corse Campion and her husband Thomas, Pottsville, 3 great grandchildren, Sarah Corse Campion, Andrew Corse Phillips and Jonathan Peter Phillips. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. till the time of service. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St., Pottsville, PA 17901 or Rest Haven Patient Care Fund, 401 University Drive, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. Interment will be at St. John No. 2 Cemetery, Pottsville. James E.
