Betty J. Paul

Betty J. Paul, 75, of Schuylkill Haven died Monday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born October 26, 1933 in Lebanon daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Wilson Donton. She attended School in Palo Alto and was the Steward at the North Ward Social Club, Schuylkill Haven, prior to retiring in 1996. She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Pottsville: Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 134, Pottsville: Rainbow Hose Co., Schuylkill Haven and a lifetime member of The North Ward Social Club, Schuylkill Haven. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lyndey and Robert Donton. Surviving are her husband, Charles W. to whom she was married for 55 years: 2 daughters, Joan M. Watkins and her husband Peter, Schuylkill Haven and Jodi Lynn Schneck and her husband Michael, Pine Grove: 3 sisters, Beatrice Richards, Hamburg, Ida Miller, Schuylkill Haven and Dorothy Begley, Christinia: 3 brothers, Lyman Donton, Palo Alto, Clarence Donton, Hamburg, and Warren Donton, Port Carbon: 4 Grandchildren: 9 Great Grandchildren: Nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday at 1:00 P.M. from the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 305 S. Centre St., Pottsville with Rev. Bonnie L. Yeager officiating. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Evangelical United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 305 S. Centre St., Pottsville, PA 17901 or Hillside S.P.C.A., Inc., P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville is in charge of arrangements.
