James G. Doyle, Sr., 75, of Pottsville died Friday night at home. He was born September 23, 1933 in Reading son of the late James W. and Hazel Dillow Doyle. He attended Pottsville Schools and was employed by the Pottsville Area School District as the head custodian for the high school, prior to retiring in 1995. He loved collecting trains and shared them with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He attended the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Pottsville and was a member of American Legion Post 554, Minersville. He was preceded in death by a son, John F. in 1964, a daughter, Bonnie F. in 2003 and a brother, Francis. Surviving is his wife the former Marion Kline to whom he was married for 51 years: 3 daughters, Gail A. Neiswender, Palo Alto, Jeanette Rivas, Pottsville, Deborah A, McCready and her husband, James, Palo Alto: a son, James G., Jr. and his wife, Barbara, Palo Alto: 9 grandchildren: 6 great grandchildren: nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home Pottsville, with the Rev. Bonnie L. Yeager officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service Thursday. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 305 S. Centre St., Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
