Virginia E. Schneider

Virginia E. Schneider, 70, of Pottsville died Monday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born November 14, 1938 in Pottsville daughter of the late Elmer S. and Jean Heiser Griffiths. She was a 1956 graduate of Pottsville High School and was employed by Ost & Ost for 43 years prior to retiring in 2000. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and a long time member of the Freda Hoh Circle of the church. She was also a Brownie leader at the Pottsville Mission. Surviving is her husband, Albert F. Schneider to whom she was married for 50 years: 2 sons, Albert D. Schneider and his wife Brenda, Leesport, Mark D. Schneider and his wife Tracy, New Ringgold: a daughter, Susan E. Morgan and her husband David, Schuylkill Haven: a brother, David Griffiths, San Antonio, Texas: 5 grandchildren: 1 great granddaughter: nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville with Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. till the time of service. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St., Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
